Huddersfield Town extend Thornton + Ross partnership for ninth consecutive season

Thornton + Ross, the pharmaceutical manufacturer, has signed an extension to sponsor Huddersfield Town for a ninth consecutive season.

As part of the commercial agreement, Thornton + Ross has also sponsored the Premier League squad’s travel wear.

The logos of Thornton + Ross’ muscular ache and pain relief brand Radian B and its cough remedy Covonia both feature on the first team’s travel kit, which is worn every match day.

Thornton + Ross, which initially became a partner of Huddersfield Town in March 2009, has also completed Covonia sampling over the winter months of the season, providing supporters with free throat lozenges.

Formed in 1922 in Huddersfield, Thornton + Ross currently employs over 550 people.

The pharmaceutical manufacturer was acquired by the STADA Group in 2013, and has subsequently merged with Genus Pharmaceuticals, and acquired Internis Pharmaceuticals, as well as acquiring Natures Aid, which manufacture and distribute vitamins, minerals and supplements.

Sean Jarvis, Huddersfield Town’s commercial director and senior commercial manager, Tracy Nelson visited Thornton + Ross’ premises in Linthwaite to meet director of consumer marketing John Chamberlin to mark the extended deal.

Tracy Nelson commented: “We’re all absolutely delighted that Thornton + Ross has renewed its commercial partnership with the Club for a ninth successive season.

“The support of major businesses in the local community is so important to us and Thornton + Ross has been a staunch supporter of the Club for a sustained period.

“We are delighted that Thornton + Ross is sponsoring our travel wear and are proud to carry the Radian B and Covonia logos on our travel kit during our Premier League 2017/18 season.”
