Darlington stunt driving school teams up with Tees Valley Business Compass

A Darlington-based high-performance stunt driving school has sped up its marketing campaign with support from Tees Valley Business Compass.

Paul Swift Precision Driving, a stunt driving experience company led by one of the world’s leading precision drivers, Paul Swift, has secured £1,963 worth of funding through Tees Valley Business Compass in order to boost its digital presence.

The company offers private driving experience days at The Northern Echo Arena, Darlington, and at other locations across the country.

Paul Swift was put in touch with Tees Valley Business Compass, which assisted by identifying appropriate funding, as well as consulting on best ways to devise an effective digital and social media marketing campaign.

Paul said: “We have carved out a niche in our sector, and have a strong year of bookings, but we decided that it was time put more focus on our digital presence as I have lost count of how many times I have been asked in which parts of the country we hold our track days.

“This grant will help us grow our company, both here and in our other locations across the UK, and we are incredibly grateful to Tees Valley Business Compass for its support.”

The support available for companies through Tees Valley Business Compass, the local growth hub, comes from an investment of more than £9.5m from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), secured by Tees Valley Combined Authority.

Support is available for growth, along with projects that increase broadband connectivity, research and development, innovation, and energy efficiency.

Shak Asghar, Growth Service Manager at the Tees Valley Business Compass, said: “Paul and his team have a great offering here in the North East. The private experience days are very popular, but it was looking to expand its audience in other sectors and further afield.

“With an effective marketing campaign, that the Tees Valley Business Compass has consulted on and financially supported, the company will be able to realise its business objectives and be on track for a great 2018.”
