Entrepreneur to develop Manchester tea and coffee brand with £23k crowdfund
The entrepreneur behind a coffee company in Manchester has embarked on a crowdfunding campaign to establish a new hot beverage brand.
Roger McBride, founder and managing director of Didsbury-based RCoffee, is looking to raise £23k through Indiegogo to launch Worker Bee MCR.
The brand’s portfolio will comprise two teas, one traditional black tea and the other an infusion; and three types of coffee – a Columbian single origin, a pure Arabican coffee and a Swiss water decaffeinated.
In keeping with its name, Worker Bee MCR will swapping sugar sticks for honey sticks.
Roger is aiming to have the products stocked and served in select cafes, bars, restaurants and offices across the city.
He said: “We want Worker Bee MCR to be the best tea and coffee in Manchester.
“Over the last 12 months we have created a collection of bespoke tea and coffee blends, all premium products that will appeal to our discerning customers.
“We are carefully considering each and every venue and will be offering expert barista training to all coffee shops and cafes to help them sell better quality tea and coffee, and improve on every element of the serve, including customer service.”
For every pledge made through Indiegogo, Worker Bee MCR is offering incentives ranging from branded merchandise to tea and coffee supplies.
