Leeds marketing firm puts international growth on the cards with launch of US division

Alpha Card, the Leeds-based marketing and engagement specialist, is set for international growth with the launch of its American division, Alpha Card Compact Media LLC.

Founded in 2013, Alpha Card is a manufacturer of z-folding cards and has worked with clients in North America for the past several years.

Ian Whitfield, Alpha Card managing director, said: “We’re delighted to see one of our long-term goals becomes a reality. We’ve had great relationships with clients in the US for many years so felt that expanding our offering into the American market was a natural progression for us.”

“Z folding cards are big business in the US so we know we’ll be up against vast competition, but our success and reputation in the UK has already given us a great advantage. We have experienced rapid growth and right now, Alpha Card is the strongest it’s ever been. We want to replicate this in the US and already have plans to grow our team and raise our profile even further.

“Despite the growth in digital platforms, more and more businesses are relying on printed products to increase engagement, and we are confident in our product, our people and the value we offer our clients.”

Alpha Card has experienced a 25% growth year-on-year in the UK, expanding its export business and producing more than 30 million products in just five years, including z-cards, business cards, booklets and coaster cards.

The firm works with clients throughout the UK, mainland Europe, Africa and North America, ranging from SMEs to multinationals such as Shell and Toyota.

Ian continued: “2017 brought some fantastic achievements for Alpha Card- we saw our highest turnover to date, added to our team and increased our product enquiries across the world. This year is set to be even bigger.

“It is obviously early days but our UK Sales Manager, James Nightingale has just returned from a very productive trip to the new office where he has been working alongside our new US Sales Manager, Melissa Scaletta, to ensure we get off to the best possible start.

“We now look forward to building our US team, developing relationships with new and existing clients and continuing to engage with people on a global scale – after all, it’s what we do best!”
