Forward Role shortlisted for prestigious national award
Manchester-based Marketing, Digital and IT recruiter Forward Role has been shortlisted for a prestigious national recruitment award after a campaign to get an ambitious graduate a job made national headlines.
Forward Role founder and Managing Director Steve Thompson was so impressed by Anastasia Glover’s ‘grime’ rap application that he shared it on the networking site LinkedIn.
Within days the post had been shared and viewed more than 400,000 times – and coverage on the BBC as well as in the Daily Mail, Daily Telegraph, and The Sun among others followed.
Now the campaign to get Anastasia a job has seen Forward Role named as one of five companies shortlisted in the ‘Best Candidate Attraction through social media’ category at the Global Recruiter Awards UK.
The awards will be handed out at a glitzy ceremony at Café de Paris, in London, on June 21.
“We’re over the moon to have made the shortlist for such a significant award,” Steve said. “We’re passionate about helping talented graduates find their perfect roles and, in the case of Anastasia, it was great to see someone making a real effort to stand out from the crowd.
“We’re confident that Anastasia has a really bright future ahead of her and we’re proud to have played a part in that.
“The Global Recruiter Awards are well regarded in the industry and to be recognised in this way is brilliant. We’ve got some stiff competition for the title, but if we win, it’ll be the icing on the cake.”
With 34 staff working out of its Manchester city centre office, Forward Role is the largest specialist Marketing & Digital recruiter in the north of England and a major player on the national stage.
