CMI and AVADO partner to launch new digital qualification in leadership and management

Digital transformation experts AVADO have partnered with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) to launch a revolutionary new online qualification in leadership and management.

Over three million people are employed as managers in the UK, yet only 1 in 5 hold a management qualification. This programme aims to address this issues faced by ‘accidental managers’ who may be experts in their field but with little management experience or necessary people skills.

Building on their previous success with award‐ winning qualifications in Accounting & Finance, HR and L&D, this Level 5 Diploma will tackle eight key areas in management including the principles of management and leadership, reflective practice and professional development and managing change. AVADO as digital transformation experts also bring a unique digital focus to equip managers to lead in a digital age.

The course is equivalent to a foundation degree and is suitable for junior and mid‐level managers and is designed to equip them with the knowledge, skills and tools to excel in the digital future. Completion of the diploma is a key step towards Chartered Manager status – the highest professional status for managers.

It also has numerous benefits for employers by allowing their staff access to consistent, flexible and cost efficient training, helping them get a return on investment from their training budgets (including where relevant the Apprenticeship Levy) and ultimately improving business performance.

The first 12 month course starts in September 2018, and is fully online, allowing learners to study flexibly in their own time, get regular support from their own personal tutor and follow a guided set of milestones to keep them on track.
