Lift-off for Watford-based aircraft parts supplier as turnover leaps 126%
Aircraft parts supplier Aerospares 2000 is expanding its premises and targeting new markets after growing its turnover 126% in three years.
The Watford-based company saw revenues rise from £11.5m to more than £26m between 2014 and 2017.
On the back of the growth, Aerospares is opening a new facility later this year that will be seven times bigger than its current premises.
It is also looking to expand into developing markets, including Vietnam and Colombia.
Aerospares is a stockist and supplier of civil aircraft spare parts for the latest generation of aircraft.
The company has over 400 customers across 68 countries. Overseas sales currently account for more than 82% of its annual turnover.
Entrepreneur Adam Nemenyi founded the firm in 2000.
He said: “Walking around our facility, you can see our passion for aviation. My desk, for example, used to be part of a leading edge wing of an Airbus A300, our coffee tables are ex Boeing 767 main wheels which have been repainted.
“I guess deep down, many of us at Aerospares 2000 are av-geeks at heart!”
