Seven appointments, Mackrell Turner Garrett
Full-service law firm Mackrell Turner Garrett has recruited seven new members of staff.
The appointees are: Muhammed Poswall (dispute resolution solicitor), Sonila Matranxhi (business development and marketing assistant), Sali Zaher (litigation paralegal - pictured), Nicholas Earles (trainee solicitor), Catherine Cattani (property solicitor), Uzma Rabi (employment solicitor) and Stephen Cartwright (trainee solicitor).
Nigel Rowley, managing partner at Mackrell Turner Garrett, said: “We are very excited to be welcoming so many new and experienced faces to our practice this year.
“Bringing in new talent is always fantastic and I look forward to seeing what our new team members can achieve.”

Ben Milner and Dan Gamble, Scottish Pacific
Scottish Pacific, the trade and invoice finance provider, has announced two appointments.
Ben Milner (pictured), from the firm’s Melbourne office, is now regional business development manager for the North of England. He has more than 10 years’ experience working with SMEs across England and Australia.
Elsewhere, Scottish Pacific appointed Dan Gamble as sales and marketing coordinator. Dan has worked in commercial finance for 10 years, including posts at big banks and independent invoice financiers.
Rob Kelly, the company’s head of sales for the UK, said: “I am delighted to welcome Ben and Dan to our growing UK team.
“The business has performed strongly since it was established three years ago, and the latest expansion reflects our plans to further strengthen our presence in the UK and enhance the range of funding available to SMEs across the UK.”
Fahad Ali, Vinay Kotecha and Niraj Harji, RDP Newmans
London accountancy firm RDP Newmans has appointed three new employees.
Fahad Ali, Vinay Kotecha (pictured) and Niraj Harji all joined the London- and Harrow-based firm as part of an expansion of its audit and accounts team.
Vinay, a chartered accountant, previously trained with RDP Newmans before joining Ernst & Young. He has returned to RDP in the role of audit and accounts senior.
Fahad, joining the company in the same position, holds the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) qualification. He previously worked for a mid-sized practice in Edinburgh.
The third new recruit, junior Niraj, will undergo professional ACCA training with RDP. He already has three years’ experience in the profession.

Wayne Tipping, GridBeyond
GridBeyond, formerly Endeco Technologies, has appointed Wayne Tipping as its new head of trading.
Wayne has more than 20 years’ experience in the energy industry, covering energy trading, pricing, origination and flexibility.
In his new role at GridBeyond, he will lead on energy trading and ensure the company continues to expand its suite of services.
Chief exec Michael Phelan said: “We’re delighted to welcome Wayne to his new role. The creation of the head of trading position marks a significant step forward for GridBeyond and supports our plans for further business expansion.
“Wayne’s successful track record in managing flexibility in energy markets combined with a sophisticated level of expertise in the field will ensure further development of our services and the delivery of the most financially rewarding solutions for our clients.”
Wayne commented: “The head of trading is a new position for GridBeyond, and I am very much looking forward to using my extensive experience in energy trading and pricing in international markets to reshape and implement the company’s revised strategy in that area.
“I intend to work closely with the Executive Team and the investors to support the plans of entering new markets and increasing the revenue to allow for continuous business growth.”
Tom O’Connor, Perkbox
Employee benefits platform Perkbox has appointed an enterprise customer success director at its London HQ.
Tom O’Connor was the first hire in Europe for internet media company Travelzoo, where he kick started the sales team effort and went on to become the firm’s UK sales director, and later EMEA general manager.
He will use his experience with Travelzoo to develop and strengthen the talent of Perkbox’s customer success team, as the business targets international expansion.
Perkbox COO Gautam Sahgal said: “It is with great pleasure that we welcome Tom to the team.
“With his hire we underscore once again how clearly we are focusing on our key goals for the year, and how we are really driving to fulfil Perkbox’s mission of ‘building a better society one relationship at a time’ starting from the workplace, both in the UK and abroad.”
