Crown Estate’s 46,000 sq ft office development in St James’s tops out
Construction work on a 46,000 sq ft Crown Estate office scheme in St James’s topped out this week.
The Marq, located on the corner of Duke Street St James’s and Jermyn Street, was designed by John McAslan and Partners/Rolfe Judd.
Once complete, it will create six floors of flexible workspace. The building will also house a 5,000 sq ft ground-floor retail unit and 5,000 sq ft on its basement level.
Sweden-headquartered building firm Skanska is the company delivering the scheme.
Oliver Smith, head of St James’s at The Crown Estate, said: “We are excited to reveal The Marq, and details of the office and retail space that is available in the development.
“It is The Crown Estate’s first entirely new build office development in St James’s for three years and as the only office development in St James’s that will be delivered next year it presents a unique opportunity.”
How The Marq will look
He added: “We are looking forward to working with clients and partners to ensure this development builds on St James’s reputation as an exceptional place to do business in London.”
The Marq is due for completion in April 2019.
CBRE and Levy are the agents appointed for the office space, Colliers and Nash Bond for the retail unit, and Colliers and Davis Coffer Lyons for the basement space.
