Approach shortlisted for hat-trick of industry awards

Ilkley-based PR consultancy Approach is celebrating after being shortlisted for three industry accolades in the Chartered Institute of Public Relations PRide Awards for Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

The seven-strong consultancy, which has over 27 business and industry awards, is in the running for Best Use of Social Media, Outstanding Small PR Consultancy of the Year and Corporate Business Communications Campaign.

The 2018 shortlist highlights campaigns the team has undertaken on behalf of the Business Enterprise Fund and its work with Ilkley Carnival for which the agency provides PR and social media support as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Suzanne Watson, managing director of Approach and former Business Woman of the Year said: “We are incredibly thrilled to be shortlisted for three categories in the PR industry’s most prestigious awards – a true reflection of our team’s hard work and dedication.

“The hat-trick of shortlists demonstrates Approach’s commitment in delivering successful, original and strategic campaigns. This is our 17th year in business and we’re proud to be in the running for Outstanding Small PR Consultancy again, having won last year. We’re really excited to celebrate another fantastic year for PR in Yorkshire,” Suzanne added.

The annual CIPR PRide Yorkshire and Lincolnshire awards, which celebrates the most talented agencies and outstanding campaigns in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, will be held at The Queens, Leeds on 22 November.

Based on The Grove in Ilkley, Approach PR specialises in b2b and b2c PR and social and digital communications working with clients including Airedale Chemical, Business Enterprise Fund, Whitakers Chocolate and United Carpets and Beds.
