Discount app StreetAway celebrates 3000 downloads and business partner milestone
Discount app StreetAway has reached a new milestone in its network of business partners.
The Newcastle-based company, which launched its digital platform earlier this year, is now partnered with over 100 local companies.
StreetAway has so far been downloaded on more than 3,000 devices for iOS and Android.
It gives users access to deals and discounts with local shops, bars and restaurants, but works to differentiate itself from competitors by tailoring offers for certain times of day and updating them in real-time.
Robert Simmons, COO at StreetAway, said: “Our commitment was always to build a platform to eliminate the rigidity of the old discount market, giving our users at both ends the opportunity to take advantage of their current circumstances in the best way possible.”
StreetAway’s aim is to compete with other discount providers, like Groupon and Tastecard, by widening the options available for firms and their customers.
StreetAway’s head of business relations, Zoe Maylam, commented: “When I have spoken to businesses and their owners, what is becoming increasingly clear is their enthusiasm for our product, and they definitely share our passion for not only improving the current discount market, but changing its fundamentals for the better.
“This is the reason for our continued focus on improving the experience at the business-end, highlighted by the upcoming integration of our revolutionary EPOS system.”
Set to launch this autumn, the EPOS system will offer businesses a hardware and software package to consolidate their needs and replace existing CRM, POS, social and sales applications – all the while linking back to StreetAway’s app.
