Five New Faces at SimpleUsability
Leading Leeds-based behavioural research consultancy, SimpleUsability has welcomed five new team members to the business.
Joel Mercer joins as the company’s first full-time UX designer, bringing over ten years’ experience in user experience and user interface design.
Soraya Gallaher, Jason Baxter and Kevin Mok all join the UX Practitioner team and the final new hire is Participant Recruitment Assistant, Layla Al-Muhtaseb. Layla will be recruiting research participants for both SimpleUsability and research support service, Research Helper.
Commenting on the appointments, Guy Redwood, Founder & MD of SimpleUsability, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Joel, Soraya, Jason, Kevin and Layla to the team. All five hires are in response to an unprecedented increase in demand for our core behavioural research services.
“High quality, diligent participant recruitment for SimpleUsability projects as well as directly for clients such as DWP and NHS is fundamental to our proposition. Clients tell us our participant recruitment is second to none and bringing Layla into the team means we can take on more projects and maintain those high standards.
“Equally, more clients are asking for an end-to-end service with our findings and recommendations taken through to prototyped solutions. Joel’s experience working in big agencies and for blue-chip clients means we can offer design which is truly evidence-led and user-centred.
“SimpleUsability leads the world in online grocery research and we’ve been using that knowledge to guide FMCG brands on how to optimise their products and images for mobile. Having Joel on-board allows us to design as well as test and optimise for this market”
