Daniel Richards, Global Head of Sales at MyFirmsApp Joins the Judging Panel for the Small Business Awards 2018

Celebrating the ’engine room of the economy’

Darlington: September 24th – Daniel Richards, Head of Global Sales at MyFirmsApp, has been invited to join the judging panel of the esteemed British Small Business Awards.

Now in its third year, the Awards are the leading celebration of the UK’s small business sector, recognising the nation’s best sole traders, micro businesses and small companies – as well as the service providers and advisers that support them. The winners of the Awards, which are spread across 17 categories, will be announced at the Royal Lancaster, London, on October 31st, 2018 in a glittering event that it is designed to give this vital sector the recognition it deserves.

The small business community in the UK is extremely powerful and there were an estimated 5.7 million small businesses (defined as 0-49 employees) at the beginning of 2017 accounting for 99.3 per cent of all private sector businesses. The combined annual turnover of small businesses was £1.9 trillion and constitutes 51 per cent of all private sector revenue in the UK.

Daniel Richards is an expert and keynote speaker on the power of mobile technology and Apps and he has been helping advisers in professional service firms for the last 17 years to ensure they are at the heart of their clients’ mobile lives.

He has presented to thousands of firms through the MyFirmsApp webinar series and is in the unique position of having access to the stats, behaviour and data driven from 1200 clients and over 250,000 small business end users, which he leverages in his presentations to show how other professional service firms are using mobile technology to advantage.

The App tracks in the background and details of each trip can be sent to the accountant literally at the click of a button throughout the year so there is no rush for the small business or the accountant to lay their hands on the correct figures when completing the end of year tax return.“
