HYDRAULIC SPECIALIST STRENGTHENS ITS TEAM WITH NEW APPOINTMENT
Sunderland-based Hydraulic Offshore Supplies (HOS) has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new project engineer, as part of its ambitious growth plan. Geoff Hayes has been appointed to oversee the businesses’ engineering projects, leading on the design and build of new systems, as well as providing general engineering support. As part of his new role, Geoff will also be customer focused, supporting clients with a diverse range of projects including system new builds and improving machine and equipment efficiencies of aging assets. HOS is a specialist supplier of hydraulic materials such as tube, fittings, industrial hose, pipeline materials and a manufacturer of hose assemblies to a range of sectors, including marine, offshore, automotive, nuclear, water, and food and beverage. Geoff has extensive knowledge of the hydraulic and engineering industries, having previously worked at companies including Voith Engineering, Subsea Innovation, and DeepOcean. By utilising Geoff’s specialist understanding of hydraulic systems and skills in fault diagnosis, HOS aims to reduce costs to its customers and eliminate the need for timely repairs by maximising machine lifespans. Speaking of his appointment, Geoff said: “Hydraulic Offshore Supplies is renowned for providing high calibre hydraulic products, and I am therefore pleased to be joining the team. “Having worked in the hydraulic and engineering industries for many years, I am confident that I can use my skills and experience to further develop the company’s excellent reputation.” Don Fenwick, Managing Director of Hydraulic Offshore Supplies, said: “We pride ourselves on offering our customers the highest quality products, which are created using our detailed industry knowledge and customer insight. I am delighted to welcome Geoff to the team and feel confident that he will be a strong asset to the company. His combination of sales expertise, technical product knowledge and project management will be invaluable in helping us to further develop our customer service and offering.” The new appointment comes at a time of growth for HOS, which has recently welcomed business development apprentice Lauren Harbron, and warehouse apprentice Ciaran Gibson to its team.
