Stockton to receive over 100 jobs thanks to Cubic Transportation Systems

On the second anniversary of Cubic Transportation Systems’ Stockton Global Operations Centre office opening, the global company is announcing that it is increasing its office headcount from 150 people to 260 members of staff.

Cubic has also recently signed a 10-year office lease, demonstrating the company’s long-term investment within the local area.

Cubic’s Stockton Global Operations Centre is key in supporting Cubic’s UK and global projects on a 24/7 basis. These include city-wide transportation projects in Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, New York and Sydney.

Its recent $35m project win in Sydney, for example, will provide the industry’s situational awareness technologies for major city transport network, with the goal of safer and more reliable journeys across all modes of travel.

Craig Walton, IT operations manager of Cubic Transportation Systems, said: “The landmark project in Sydney, which will provide the city with one of the world’s most advanced transport management systems, will be largely managed out of the Stockton office.

“Running global projects, continuing to work closely with local universities and the signing of the 10-year lease indicates the faith we have in the region as a strong base of operations now and in the future.”
