Student recruitment company relocates to new offices in Sheffield
A UK student recruitment firm has expanded following its relocation to new offices in Sheffield.
FindAUniversity, whose online course directories are used by more than 800 universities around the world, has opened its new Sheffield office at No. 77 Speedwell Works on Sidney Street.
This is part of the Alsop Fields development in the cultural industries quarter of the city.
The £350k refurbishment of No. 77 at Speedwell Works is part of the major Alsop Fields project by renowned property developers City Estates, which has seen the transformation of a former derelict cutlery factory on the corner of Sidney Street and Matilda Street in Sheffield into residential and commercial space.
The likes of UK marketing agency Jaywing and Birdhouse Tea Bar and Kitchen have opened at the development.
Andy Pritchard, managing director of FindAUniversity, said: “The company tripled in size during our six years at Sellers Wheel. 77 Sidney Street offers a great base for the next five years of growth.
“We’re also extremely excited to be part of the Alsop Fields development, which is an incredibly impressive site in Sheffield’s cultural industries quarter.
“Our new HQ is all about creating an inspirational working environment for our team, with generous relaxation, break-out and meeting space both indoors and out.”
As a result of the move, FindAUniversity, which was established in 2001, now employs 40 members of staff, having grown from a total of 10 since 2013.
The firm’s new HQ is also nearly double the size of its previous site at Sellers Wheel near Sheffield Hallam University, leaving room for further expansion.
The firm’s previous headquarters at Sellers Wheel is also under the City Estates portfolio, as is West One Student Accommodation, which includes the likes of the West One complex on Fitzwilliam Street, plus Gatecrasher Apartments, and Huttons Buildings on West Street.
The popular postgraduate student recruitment expert, which generated in excess of 2.3 million student enquiries and referrals for advertisers in 2017, also passed the one million monthly unique user milestone across its two main websites in October 2017.
Sean Elwood, commercial property manager at City Estates, added: “Our relationship with FindAUniversity spans more than five years and we’re looking forward to seeing it develop following the firm’s relocation to Alsop Fields.
“We’re incredibly proud of the space created for FindAUniversity, as their business continues to go from strength-to-strength. We’re excited to see where their business will go next.”
