Luxury retailer Allbirds opens debut European store in Covent Garden
Today (October 18), The Mercers’ Company has announced that luxury and sustainable footwear brand, Allbirds has opened its debut European store at 121-123 Long Acre, Covent Garden.
The interior of the 1,600 sq ft store was designed in collaboration with Allbird’s in-house team and design agency XYZ.
Said to be inspired by London’s parks, the store offers a ‘green’ environment, with use of greenery and natural materials, like moss.
Simon Taylor, property director at The Mercers’ Company, said: “Allbirds is an exceptional international brand and we are delighted that they chose this well-loved London destination for their debut European store.
“With a mission to further sustainability within the fashion industry, we are sure they will be hugely popular with their new customer base in the UK.”
This recent opening follows the announcement that the UK’s specialist retailer of maps, Stanfords, will be relocating for the first time since 1901, to 7 Mercer Walk.
Hanover Green and JLL acted for The Mercers’ Company and Wilson McHardy advised Allbirds.
