Durham recruitment firm set to expand with two further offices in pipeline

An East Durham recruitment company is looking to expand across the region.

SSK Recruitment, a general recruiter with a particular focus on construction, industrial, engineering and education, is aiming to open two further locations in Bishop Auckland by the end of November, as well as Stockton by Q1 2019.

The company was set up in March 2018 by managing director, Adam Smith with the support of local businessmen Bradley Saunders and Paul Kelly - who are also directors within the business.

Adam said: “We [began] trading in March this year and we were lucky enough to have a few doors opened for us by my business partners who have an abundance of contacts here in the North East.

“We set up on the back of two national construction contracts and the business has grown significantly off the back of those contracts.

“We achieved our gross status within the construction sector and have been mulling over plans to expand our operations across the region.”

The company has sought growth capital for its expansion plans, and has also enlisted Steven Colwell and Julie Ralph from 360 Funding, a brokerage in Newcastle, to help.

By the end of 2019, SSK Recruitment is aiming to have expanded further into Newcastle.

Adam concluded: “I am looking to speak to passionate sales staff who would like to work for a company that reward hard work.

“I am a firm believer that ‘hard work beats talent’, and any consultant working for SSK recruitment will see their hard work rewarded.

“We have created an atmosphere here that makes coming to work an enjoyable experience and we understand and appreciate work life balance.

“We have a team of like-minded professionals here at SSK Recruitment and ultimately we all work towards the same goal and that is to drive the business forward.”
