Consulting engineering firm relocates to bigger 70,000 sq ft Newcastle head office
Multi-disciplinary consulting engineering firm, Patrick Parsons has relocated its Newcastle base to larger premises, following the expansion of its team and an increase in the number of services it provides.
After more than eight and a half years in Waterloo House on Thornton Street, the firm has moved its headquarters to new premises in Central Square.
The office block, which is one of the largest in Newcastle, contains more than 70,000 sq ft of Grade A office space in a prominent location behind Central Station.
Peter Stienlet, managing director of Patrick Parsons, said: “The last few years has seen fantastic growth for Patrick Parsons.
“It’s a very exciting step to move into such a landmark building, which is superbly located close to the rapidly emerging Stephenson Quarter regeneration scheme.
We have always preferred a city centre location for the benefit of our staff and clients and being so close to the central train station is ideal.“
Patrick Parsons now employs over 230 staff across its eight UK-based and two international offices - a far cry from the eight-strong workforce it had in 2007.
Moving its expanding operations will allow the company to progress with plans to grow from the current turnover of £18m to £30m.
The company has provided engineering services on many buildings in Newcastle’s city centre, from the renovation of the historic Black Gate to the multi-million-pound St James’ Point student accommodation development.
