Popular Revolution bar and restaurant chain announces Durham opening
More than 60 jobs will be created with the opening of a premium bar chain in Durham.
Revolution, the bar and restaurant chain, is expanding its regional presence with a new site on Silver Street which sits on Framwellgate Bridge.
It has announced it will be hosting a launch party on Friday November 23, where customers will be able to sign-up to grab a limited number of tickets online.
The expansion marks a vast £1m investment for the group who will be transforming the former Bishop Langley pub, along the banks of the River Wear.
Revolution’s general manager, Nigel Wood, said: “We are all very excited to bring a long-awaited Revolution bar to Durham city centre.
“The team have been working and training very hard to bring something special to the bar scene in this fine city.”
Revolution Durham is set to have features suited for all day dining including dishes for grazers and sharers.
The addition of a Durham site aims to increase the chain’s footprint in the North East, with branches on Collingwood Street in Newcastle and one in the Victoria Buildings in Sunderland.
The site will be open from 11am daily.
