This week's Yorkshire appointments
Gordon Anderson, Ring
Ring, a lighting and automotive electrical specialist based in Leeds, has welcomed Gordon Anderson as areas sales manager to its growing team.
Responsible for building relationships with customers across Scotland and Northern Ireland, Gordon will be tasked with letting retailers and garage technicians know about the extensive range of Ring products, helping drive sales for customers.
He said: “Ring’s market leading position, capacity for innovation and evolving range of products makes it a really exciting time to be a part of the sales division.
“As an area sales manager, I am looking forward to getting out and to meeting with our customers. It is really important to me that I develop the relationships that we have - many of which have been in place for a number of years.”
One of the region’s best-known bankers, with 38 years in the profession, has joined Yorkshire property development company S Harrison.
David Salisbury, S Harrison
David Salisbury has joined S Harrison’s development team.
David Salisbury has headed specialist property banking units across the north of England for the past 18 years.
Since 2010, he has headed RBS’ property specialist team in Yorkshire and the North East, managing a portfolio of over £1bn.
David said: “Having seen property deals from the perspective of the funder for many years I have always wanted to work on the other side, taking a more holistic view in putting deals together.
“I have worked with S Harrison on a number of projects and always been impressed by their integrity and the way they deal up front and honestly with people.
“At the same time, they are independent and adaptable, and I will relish the dynamism that goes with that. For me, it is a perfect fit.”
Richard Bannister, Citivale
Citivale, a property development and investment company, has strengthened its team with the appointment of Richard Bannister as development director.
Bannister, who has been a chartered surveyor for 20 years, joins Citivale from developers St Modwen, where he was head of the Yorkshire and North East region.
He said: “Citivale is a really good fit for me. I left St. Modwen after 10 years to find a new challenge in an entrepreneurial environment and that is what Citivale represents for me.
“In addition, through the previous successes Citivale have achieved, it means that there is an established track record of performing in JVs and partnerships and I feel we can continue to build on that with our development arm.”

As commercial director at Elevation, Joanna will work closely with founder and CEO, Greg Parkinson to maximise business growth and take full responsibility for the marketing, HR, compliance, administration, IT and finance departments.
Greg said: “Joanna is an outstanding businesswoman with a proven track record of driving commercial growth in many high-profile SMEs, and I am delighted that she will be joining the board at Elevation.

LIF launched in 2017, and is a cultural festival combining music, moving image and technology to bring forth diverse voices from these industries, culminating in workshops, talks, premieres and exhibitions across the city.
Gemma said: “I am so excited to get to work on Leeds International Festival 2019. Building on previous years [of] exceptional lineups, I plan to continue to push those boundaries, encouraging innovative and experimental thinking here in the city of Leeds, and beyond.”
Kenny Nelson, Yorkshire Bank
Yorkshire Bank has strengthened its specialist national healthcare team with a senior appointment.
Kenny Nelson has joined as a senior director, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to supporting SMEs ahead of the RBS Business Bank Switch Scheme, due to launch in February 2019.
Kenny, who has joined from RBS, has over 30 years of client facing relationship roles and has 18 years of experience advising SMEs in the UK’s health and social care sector.
Kenny said: “I believe in making banking simple and putting customers at the heart of everything I do, which is an ethos shared by Yorkshire Bank.
“There is a mismatch between demand and funding in the care sector, meaning some services are struggling to maintain standards. This requires expert advice to address the challenges facing the industry and delivering the right solutions.
“In the healthcare market, Yorkshire Bank is rightly recognised as an industry leader, and as the RBS Business Bank Switch Scheme approaches, I’m confident that the extensive experience of the team will help us grow our healthcare offering around the country.”
