Local appliance repair firm unveils record year with £36m turnover

Houghton-le Spring’s Pacifica Group has unveiled a record year after posting a 32 per cent rise in turnover to £36.1m for 2018.

The national home services company saw revenues rise from £27.2m in the previous year, buoyed by several acquisitions and contract wins.

It also saw its employee count increase to more than 470 staff, which includes a 250-strong network of engineers, with further job creation expected in 2019.

Kevin Brown, group managing director of Pacifica Group, said: “Continued reinvestment throughout FY18 has again positioned the group for continued success and we expect to build on this record year with further growth in 2019.

“Current year trading is seeing the positive financial results of the reinvestment strategy as well as increased turnover.

“We have continued to strengthen our directly employed workforce, which now includes over 250 field-based engineers and anticipate further job creation in 2019 and beyond to support our growth.”

Pacifica Group is one of the UK’s largest providers of home services, including appliance and heating systems repair and maintenance, and product warranty solutions.

It handles in excess of 4,500 jobs per week and comprises of Pacifica Home Services, Pacifica Appliance Services and UK Warranty.

The Group is now anticipating further growth, with turnover expected to exceed £42m in 2019.
