Bellway to deliver over 150 new apartments and gym in Croydon

A development of 181 new apartments with a concierge service and a gym is being built in Croydon.

The apartment blocks, which will be up to 24 storeys high, will be constructed on the former Jobcentre Plus site on Dingwall Road, East Croydon, by Bellway.

The development, which will be called Vista 24, will consist of one, two and three-bedroom apartments. Prices have yet to be confirmed.

Emma Hamlett, sales director for Bellway London, said: “We’re regenerating a brownfield site and creating something very special at Vista 24.

“We’re confident that the apartments we’re building are just what people need and are looking for in this part of London.

“They’re central and just a five-minute walk from East Croydon railway station, from where it’s 15 minutes to London Bridge and just 16 minutes into London Victoria.

“These apartments will be ideal for professionals commuting into central London, for first-time buyers and investors.”

The apartments will consist of 86 one-bedroom, 81 two-bedroom and 14 three-bedroom homes. Selected apartments will have balconies and some will be wheelchair accessible.

As part of the planning agreement, Bellway will contribute £110k to public transport and £130k to local employment schemes, as well as paying for all local highway works associated with the scheme.
