Have you heard the news? Say hello to Bdaily's newest correspondent
The past few weeks have seen some great changes happening at Bdaily, but there’s a particular highlight on our radar right now.
We’ve recently appointed a new member to the editorial team, Jane Imrie. We’re over the moon to say she will be working with us on a full-time, permanent basis but what’s even more exciting is the fact she is based at our Newcastle head office, in South Gosforth.
She has joined as a correspondent, and will be working alongside fellow journalist Rebecca Wayman. Jane has replaced Richard Bell, who was with the company for over three years and played a pivotal role in delivering quality editorial content.
Martin Stanley, Bdaily’s director, spoke highly of Jane, saying: “We’re really pleased to have brought Jane into the Bdaily team. Jane’s background in content and past experience in marketing means she will be a real asset to the editorial team moving forward.
“Being based at our headquarters in Newcastle, her input will offer a real strategic benefit to Bdaily as we strengthen our presence both within this region and nationally.”
Like Rebecca, Jane is also reporting across all of our regions. So, if you’ve got a great London story, or maybe one that ties in with a small Yorkshire town instead, she might well report it.
Jane has already made good progress at Bdaily, and is more than ready to delve into writing interviews and features, so if you’ve got an idea that you think our audience will love, don’t hesitate to send it across.
Jane commented on her move: “I’ve always been passionate about writing so I’m looking forward to producing engaging regional content on a daily basis, as well as connecting with growing businesses locally and nationally.
Jane has also worked in banking, which has given her a great understanding of how events in the larger corporate world - and national and global economies - affect individuals and businesses on a local level, which she says is “definitely useful now I’m working in regional business news.”
She concluded: “My time working in affiliate marketing gave me some great insights into the fast-changing nature of digital content and the need to constantly evolve and look at new ways of engaging an audience.
“I’m really excited to be joining the Bdaily editorial team.”
