Commercial real estate rating system WiredScore has appointed Eden Dwek as head of corporate development, EMEA.

Focusing on the implementation of ‘Wired Certification’ across the UK and Europe, Eden will be driving the firm’s growth strategy both in the UK and internationally.

Eden joins the firm from KPMG, where he started his career as a graduate trainee and was most recently in the role of real estate technology and innovation lead.

In addition to his time at KPMG, Dwek has served as an executive director of TEDxLondon and a sergeant for the Metropolitan Police Service.

Claire Howard-Jones and Phill Jones, Gumtree

Buying and selling platform Gumtree has appointed Claire Howard-Jones as its chief marketing officer and Phill Jones as head of motors.

With over 20 years of experience with brands like Amazon, Ancestry.com, Sainsbury’s, Expedia, TripAdvisor and British Airways, Claire will be overseeing marketing activity across the Gumtree portfolio, including acquired brands Motors.co.uk and eBay Motors.

Commenting on her appointment, Claire Howard-Jones said: “Joining a brand at a time of growth as CMO presents an exciting challenge – one I can’t wait to get started on.”

Phill will be focusing on the integration and delivering the new joint proposition of Motors.co.uk and eBay Motors and Gumtree Motors.

On his new role, Phill said: “I am very proud to lead this new venture, bringing together large audiences, great products and highly talented teams.”

Matt Barham, UK general manager of eBay Classifieds Group added: “Claire and Phill bring with them a wealth of experience that will strengthen our proposition for dealers, business and consumers alike.”

Allan Davidson, Bricks Capital

Property and hospitality specialist Bricks Capital has appointed Allan Davidson as managing director of the group’s hotel portfolio

Joining from Colliers International hospitality asset management team where he was co-head, Allan has worked for companies such as the Vision Hospitality Asset Management and Jarvis Hotels, as well as being hotel operational lead for the St Georges Park National Football Centre for the FA.

Commenting on his new appointment, Allan Davidson said: “I’m delighted to be joining Bricks Capital at such an exciting time for the business. We’ve proven ourselves with some highly successful schemes to date, but to be a part of the rapid growth of the business is a challenge that I’m relishing.”

Bricks Capital CEO Peter Prickett added: “Having Allan join our group at a senior level is a huge win for the business and we are extremely excited to grow our hotel division together in the years ahead, starting with a target of 20 new hotels within 3 years from now.”

Aaron Harris, Sage

Business management solutions firm Sage has appointed Aaron Harris as chief technology officer.

Formerly the senior vice president and head of engineering and technology at Sage Intacct, Aaron will be developing the technology strategy across Sage Business Cloud in his new role.

Chief executive officer Steve Hare said: “Aaron has proven experience of building a great SaaS company, and will bring that experience to our innovation agenda at Sage, ultimately helping us make our customers more successful.

“It has been fantastic to work closely with Aaron in his role at Sage Intacct, and I am pleased to bolster the technology experience on the Executive Committee with his appointment.”

Commenting on his new appointment, Aaron Harris added: “I’m very honoured to be asked to become the CTO at Sage, as we accelerate our drive to become a great SaaS company.”

Svenja Grundmann, Hambro Perks

Venture firm Hambro Perks has appointed Svenja Grundmann as investment associate on its Access Fund initiative.

Previously part of the equity capital markets team at investment banking giant Morgan Stanley, Svenja has worked on equity transactions for a range of clients including HelloFresh, Delivery Hero and Scout24.

Svenja Grundmann commented: “I’m thrilled to be joining Hambro Perks on the investment team building out the Access Fund which is focussed on secondary stakes in VC backed companies.

“I’m extremely excited to be part of this next stage of growth of Hambro Perks working with an incredible team.”

Dominic Perks, co-founder of Hambro Perks, added: “I’m very excited to welcome Svenja within the team and use her expertise to expand our Access Fund team.”

Sofia Savvidou-Gianniri, ECI Media Management

London company ECI Media Management has promoted Sofia Savvidou-Gianniri to the role of global CCO.

Sofia will oversee the operational management of the business, working with the global team in the development and execution of growth strategies.

With 22 years of experience in international media, Sofia first joined ECI Media Management in 2017 as SVP - global clients. Before that she spent 12 years at Omnicom Media Group, where she was managing director of the global accountability team in London and the head of investment for APAC in Singapore.

Sofia said: “ECI Media Management has an impressive record of steady business growth and a reputation for integrity and innovation in the media consulting space. I am very excited about this opportunity to help shape our priorities for the future.”

Sarah Flint, Moda Living

Property firm Moda Living has appointed Sarah Flint as head of asset management.

Joining from real estate consultancy LIV where she was asset management director, Sarah will oversee the asset performance across the group, focusing firstly on the firm’s Angel Gardens development before covering the wider portfolio.

Sarah Flint, head of asset management at Moda Living, said: “I am excited to join Moda at such a pivotal time, with the imminent launch of Angel Gardens and as several other developments start on-site this year.

“Moda is setting a new standard in build-to-rent and I am thrilled to be working with such a forward-thinking developer and operator.”

Iain Morpeth, Queensgate Investments LLP

London firm Queensgate Investments LLP has appointed Iain Morpeth as group managing director.

Joining from Ropes & Gray where he held the position of global chair of the firm’s international private equity real estate group, Iain has over 20 years of law experience including a tenure as partner at Clifford Chance.

Iain’s appointment comes during a period of growth for the company, following its latest acquisition of four London Grange hotels in a £1bn deal.
