Cirrus Inns has Two County Winners in the National Pub & Bar Awards 2019
Cirrus Inns is delighted to announce that two sites from the collection won the prestigious Best in County awards in the annual National Pub & Bar Awards 2019.
The Trout at Tadpole Bridge received the ‘Best Pub in Oxfordshire’ accolade, with The White Horse at Chilgrove taking home the award for the ‘Best Pub in West Sussex’, for the third year running.
The White Horse has been awarded a multitude of awards over the past few years including Best Pub in West Sussex 2017 and 2018 and the well-deserved ‘Best Pub in the Country’ at the National Pub & Bar awards 2018. These newest wins come just a month after Cirrus Inns received the ‘Best Premium Food Offer’ at the coveted Publican Awards 2019.
The Best in County accolade is awarded to pubs that deliver on marks of quality, assessing every element that goes into making a hospitality experience truly excellent. Both The White Horse and Trout impressed the judges with the its emphasis on local food sourcing and understanding of the importance of sustainable food in today’s industry. Paul Boyce, Operations Director of Cirrus Inns said: “Outstanding food and attention to detail in our guest journey are engrained in the Cirrus Inns ethos. The White Horse and The Trout at Tadpole Bridge encompass our high standards for quality and experience, and we are delighted they have been recognised as county winners in the National Pub & Bar Awards, representing West Sussex and Oxfordshire.”
The National Pub & Bar Awards has announced the best pubs and bars from each county across the United Kingdom. In total, 94 venues from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have been selected as the best in their county and will now make their way to the National Pub & Bar Awards grand finale at BAFTA in London on 22nd May 2019. At the final, the 94 County Winners will be in the running to be named the best in their region. The overall winner of the National Pub & Bar of The Year 2019 will also be announced.
