ConferenceLeeds shortlisted for Best UK Convention Bureau award

ConferenceLeeds, the conference bureau for the city of Leeds, has been shortlisted in the Best UK Convention Bureau category at the Conferencing and Hospitality Awards 2019, an annual awards ceremony designed to showcase the very best in the conference and hospitality industry in the UK.

The ConferenceLeeds team have been shortlisted alongside one other organisation – MeetBristol - in the new awards category, Best UK Convention Bureau, which aims to recognise the bureaus across the UK who demonstrate a high level of innovation, positive ROI and strong customer service practices, alongside their ability to build strong and positive relationships with partners across the city.

In addition to ConferenceLeeds, many other Leeds venues also made the list. The University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University were shortlisted in the Best Academic Venue category, as well as appearing alongside Harehills’ based meetings and events space Shine in the Sustainable Venues category. The Leeds United Conference and Events space at Elland Road has made the shortlist for Best Exhibition Facility, and Cloth Hall Court and Horizon have both been recognised for their excellent technology offerings. Finally, Oulton Hall and The Queens Hotel both appear on the list for Best Front of House Team.

Claire Heap, Head of ConferenceLeeds, commented: “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted in the Best UK Convention Bureau category, and are really excited to see the outcome of the awards next month. We’re also extremely pleased to see another strong year for Leeds in the additional categories – with our combined shortlisting going a long way towards demonstrating the strength in the city’s venues and their offerings, and really cementing the stature of Leeds in relation to the UK’s larger cities when it comes to Conferencing and Hospitality.”

Winners of the CHS awards will be announced on Thursday the 6th of June at The Royal Armouries in Leeds.
