North East creative agency shortlisted for national award
A leading creative agency from the North East will be representing the region on the national stage, after being shortlisted for a prestigious award.
Cool Blue Brand Communications has been named as a finalist in the PR category at The Drum Recommends Awards and will attend a black tie ceremony on May 9 to celebrate with fellow nominees.
The agency, which was founded in 1999, put Newcastle on the map at last year’s awards, after scooping gold in the ‘Corporate Communications’ category.
With offices now also in London and Middlesbrough, Cool Blue boasts a roster of clients including FTSE 100 companies, well-known household brands, education providers, local authorities and regeneration projects.
Tanya Garland, managing director, said: “I’m delighted Cool Blue has been recognised among some of the best agencies in the country.
“Being shortlisted for this award means even more as it’s based on ratings from our very own clients.
“Making cool things happen for our clients is at the heart of everything we do, and this recognition is testament to the quality of our work and the satisfaction of our clients.”
Tanya set up Cool Blue 20 years ago and now leads a 27-strong team of digital designers and developers, PR experts, branding and marketing professionals and graphic designers.
The agency has delivered work for major brands such as Sleepeezee, ercol, Story Homes, Seaward Group, and Monsoon Home.
It has been involved in many high-profile projects that have helped companies grow across the region and nationally – including its client of two decades, Barker and Stonehouse.
Its work regionally includes the marketing of the £7.5m redevelopment of Newcastle’s City Baths, which is due to open this summer and the £55m TeesAMP development on Teesside.
The Drum Recommends Awards recognise agencies based on their high ratings from clients across a number of disciplines.
