Free Sessions to share Yorkshire passion and improve customer service
Using two short plays and a film written by globally acclaimed playwright, John Godber, Wakefield Cultural Consortium, the collective of cultural venues and organisations from across the Wakefield district, is offering free 2.5-hour sessions to focus on customer service.
The Yorkshire Passion programme is being delivered following the success of the same process which was delivered in Hull and resulted in positive feedback and a different approach to engaging with visitors to the city.
Encouraging people to recognise that they are representing the district, which attracts 8 million visitors that contribute £448 million to the local economy each year, supporting no fewer than 8,000 jobs, it is hoped that customer experience will improve having a positive impact for all.
Graham Whitehead, Project Manager for Wakefield Cultural Consortium, comments: “We have a fantastic mix of cultural destinations across the district and providing a consistently high level of customer service will support our local economy and encourage visitors to come back.
“This summer, we’re heading towards an incredible season of events and festivals that combined have the potential to attract more visitors than ever before. We know that we are a cultural destination of choice for many, but we need to remember that we are all representing the district and that the service we deliver during every interaction with guests makes a difference.”
Available to any business, individual or employee that has access to any visitor or customer that comes to the district the sessions will take place from the first week in June.
