Boris app scores big with Leeds United partnership

A workplace software firm has teamed up with Leeds United Football Club to drive its business growth.

Boris Software, which specialises in digitising pen-and-paper processes in the workplace, has joined the Leeds United Business Club in a bid to reach the club’s fan base and raise awareness of its app.

Boris Software’s head of client services James Doak commented: “It makes sense to be Business Club partners because we’re locally based and Leeds United are a high-profile club.

“I think the owners see the value in sport, especially the demographic of supporters.”

Boris Software works by providing a digitised alternative to pen-and-paper processes in the workplace, such as health and safety checks and compliance reporting

By partnering with the football club, Boris Software will see its company branding displayed at every Leeds home game on crowd and pitch-facing LED screens, as well as featuring on StadiumTV and StatZone screens located within the concourses.

The firm hopes that the partnership will build on its growth over the past 18 months, securing clients such as Highways England and branches of the NHS.

James added: “The user base has almost doubled from January last year, in terms of the amount of individual people that are using Boris. We’re trying to expand in the UK market, and Ireland as well, but Boris could be used anywhere in the world.

“That’s probably why we’ve joined the Leeds United Business Club – to get our name out there.”
