Clothing recycler boosts sustainability message with Leeds United
A North East clothing recycling firm has partnered with Leeds United Business Club to grow its brand.
Northallerton-based Smart Recycling, part of the international Next Best Clothing group of companies, has joined the business club in order to increase its exposure.
Smart Recycling specialises in the recycling of clothing and surplus household items, and customers are able to get cash for clothes and items they no longer need.
Partnering with the Leeds United Business Club, the business will see its branding displayed at every Leeds home game, with the potential to reach international audiences as well as local fans.
In addition to featuring on crowd and pitch-facing LED screens at Elland Road, Smart Recycling also appear on StadiumTV and StatZone screens within the concourses.
Smart Recycling is also invited to exclusive events as part of its membership, including Q&A evenings with former Leeds players.
Toms Zingers from Next Best Clothing’s marketing department commented: “We want to grow the company using brand exposure, we want to get people talking about it.
“Currently a great many people use Smart Recycling but over the coming months and years we want to expand the operation and offer more people the chance to get money for their unwanted clothing.”
“We accept sports clothes so if the new kit comes out and somebody wants to give us their old Leeds shirt they should know that they can do that, rather than just throwing it out, they can take it to a drop-off point and get paid for it.”
