Search Laboratory has recently announced its new charity of the year as Leeds Cares, a charity that work with Leeds Teaching Hospitals to improve care and wellbeing across Yorkshire. The fundraising efforts of the 150 strong team will be taking place throughout the year with various sporting events, bake sales and in-house challenges. The agency will be also offering pro-bono digital support to the charity to help raise its profile across the digital sphere.
Leeds Cares is the official partner of Leeds Teaching Hospitals. They support NHS staff to deliver the best care for patients and families by raising funds for projects and services. Fundraising will be donated to the neonatal units at Leeds General Infirmary and St. James’, a unit nominated by employee, Scott Hamilton who experienced first-hand the amazing work of the charity when his own son was born prematurely.
After raising an impressive £12,600 for Guide Dogs over the past eighteen months, as a result of employees taking part in various challenges such as the Three Peaks and sponsored runs, the Search Laboratory team hope to surpass last year’s total and challenge themselves to more testing physical challenges throughout the two-year partnership.
Amandeep Raan, Charity Leader at Search Laboratory, commented: “As a company, we are proud to support local charities which are close to the team’s heart and we see a real effort made by everyone consistently throughout the 18-month partnerships to raise funds and awareness. We raised an incredible £12.6k for Guide Dogs and we are looking forward to the challenge of beating the total this year for Leeds Cares.
“It’s wonderful to have support from senior managers in our fundraising efforts, as well as the wider team. Each employee is allowed to take two days off work in order to volunteer and get involved in local events and initiatives. It’s been great to see how much dedication and effort the entire Search Laboratory family has invested into raising funds so far, and we can’t wait to continue this throughout this year and next.”
Sarah Griffin, Director of Communications at Leeds Cares commented on the partnership: “We’re extremely grateful to Search Laboratory for choosing us as their new ‘Charity of the Year’. We’re confident that both their fundraising efforts and their offer of digital support will really help us raise even more money to help patients and families at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.”
In addition to its Leeds and London offices, the company have a third office space in New York. The trans-Atlantic team will in turn be raising money for American charity, The Children’s Heart Foundation. This worthy organisation is the leading charity to fund research into congenital heart defect (CHD) research.
As the North’s leading digital marketing agency, Search Laboratory is recognised as one of The Times top 100 places to work. The company is also one of only a handful of Google Marketing Platform accredited agencies across the UK and is often celebrated for its pioneering and innovative approach to digital marketing, in the UK and across the globe.
