Hendy Group shortlisted for two key business awards

Hendy Group has been shortlisted for two awards in the prestigious Solent Business Awards with the winners announced next month (October).

The automotive giant has been shortlisted in the Management Team of the Year and Company of the Year awards.

The Solent Business Awards, (SBA), are now in their fifth year, and have quickly become established as the premier multi-category awards scheme covering the entire South Coast and Solent.

David Murray, publisher of The Business Magazine which organises the awards, said: “These awards are prestigious trophies that attract entries from the very best companies.”

Judges in the Management Team of the Year Award said the Hendy team focuses on transformation and problem solving as the company continues to expand through acquisition. Staff training and support deliver great customer service.

In the Company of the Year category Hendy was praised for being a sixth generation family business that just keeps growing by acquiring businesses without getting indigestion.

Chief executive Paul Hendy said he was delighted the company had been shortlisted for two key awards. “Recognition like this is really important and supports our business principles,” he said.

The group, which celebrates its 160th anniversary this year, has 26 franchises and operates from 83 outlets operating throughout Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, West Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Devon.
