Workwear specialist marks 20% sales growth with launch of first retail outlet

A County Durham firm specialising in personalised workwear has officially launched its new customer showroom and retail outlet.

Workwear Express has opened a new showroom and outlet at its headquarters at Belmont Industrial Estate in Durham.

The firm, which supplies personalised workwear, uniforms and promotional clothing, has launched the physical showroom following a 20 per cent sales increase to £18m in the last 12 months, as well as welcoming 30 new employees so far in 2019.

The £150k refit of the new showroom and outlet store is part of a multi-million pound overhaul of the entire site, including the creation of a 40,000 sq ft factory and new machinery.

Andrew Ward, managing director of Workwear Express, commented: “We are delighted to welcome customers to our specially-designed new showroom and outlet store.

“It is a great opportunity for businesses in the region to have this facility on their doorstep, with access to a wide variety of our products, high quality, customised options and a fast, efficient turnaround.”

“We are a company proud of our North East roots and where we’ve grown from, and we have exciting expansion plans for the future.”
