London wellness startup launches new platform for employee mental health

London-based startup GoSweat has launched a new corporate wellness platform for its employees.

In light of many employers now concerned about the wellbeing and mental health of their employees, GoSweat has decided to launch this platform to give its staff access to fitness and wellbeing experiences from various UK sports providers.

GoSweat has partnered with corporates such as Age UK, Workday and Medallia with the aim to connect many more employers and HR managers struggling with employee recruitment, retention and motivation.

Stephanie Newport-Booth, founder of GoSweat, said: “Supporting employees mental and physical wellbeing is imperative to having a healthy, happy team.

“Defining what’s ‘healthy’ varies from person to person, so often we forget that employees are people, with their own individual feelings, goals, and challenges.

“Treat your employees as individuals, and support them with preventative incentives, like GoSweat, that encourage positive mental and physical wellbeing.”

According to MentalHealth.org.uk, the value added to the economy by people who are at work and have/have had mental health issues is said to be as high as £225bn per year, representing 12.1 per cent of the UK’s GDP.
