Former steakhouse set for new lease of life following acquisition
An eatery in South Yorkshire is set to undergo a rebrand after being acquired by a local entrepreneurial duo.
The Bells Steakhouse in Silkstone near Barnsley has been purchased by business partners and pub operators Jonathan Tiffany and Paul Noonan for an undisclosed price.
The new owners intend to rebrand the business as The Bells Bar & Kitchen, with plans for a full redevelopment in the new year.
Specialising in modern British cuisine, the refocused venue will offer a casual dining concept capitalising on the outdoor area and pizza oven.
Jonathan Tiffany commented: “Paul and I are absolutely thrilled to have purchased the business and at the moment are working hard to re-establish the venue and are reviewing the operational running.”
Nick Thomas of leisure property specialist Fleurets - who brokered the off-market deal - commented: “Jonathan has a wealth of experience in the hospitality trade, having owned and operated The Hepworth at Hepworth and also the Ford Inn, near Holmfirth, both of which were sold through Fleurets Leeds office.
“I wish Jonathan & Paul all the very best at The Bells and long and happy retirement to the vendors.”
