Manchester's Sport and Music reports record year, with 5m turnover, an increase of 135%
Manchester-based VIP hospitality provider, Sport and Music has today released its annual turnover figures, revealing revenue has reached £5,000,000 for the first time in its history.
Compared to last year’s results, turnover has increased by 135% during 2019, thanks to a bevy of client wins and new partnership deals with some of the biggest entertainment venues in the world.
Directors at Sport and Music attribute this stellar growth to the company’s 12-year heritage which has enabled them to build up an unrivalled level of trust with a large network of clients and venues including Genting Bet and Manchester Arena.
Throughout the year, Sport and Music has worked with whole host of clients ranging from Manchester businesses DDC Group and Assembly Techniques, through to Paddy Power Betfair and SkyBet, to provide corporate hospitality packages to some of the biggest events of the year including The Championships, Wimbledon, and The Unibet Premier League Darts.
To celebrate this growth Sport and Music are working on building up their CSR programme, after already raising more than £15,000 for Yabba Dabba Doo, a charity dedicated to supporting The Christie Hospital in Manchester.
David Poulton, Managing Director at Sport and Music, said: “We’ve had a fantastic year, and exceeded our growth targets thanks to the incredible work of the team, and the brilliant brands we’ve been able to work with.
“Our growth is not only great for business, but we’re also now able to really improve our CSR programme which is something we’re especially passionate about. Looking ahead into 2020 we have plans to support even more charities and build up our partnership with Yabba Dabba Doo further to really help them to reach their goals over the next few years.”
Currently employing a team of eight staff, Sport and Music was established in 2008, and has quickly become one of the leading corporate hospitality providers in the UK, and around the globe. In addition to its work with corporate clients, Sport and Music also secured VIP hospitality tickets and chartered a private plane for the Rugby World Cup final in Japan this year, for a number of private clients.
With more than 30 years’ experience in events and hospitality, Sport and Music has built up an extensive global network of trusted providers, allowing the team to offer a bespoke broker service to its customers which is able to source tickets for any major event worldwide.
Dan Seldon, VIP Manager at Genting Bet, said: “If you want to provide a truly unique, premium and memorable experience then Sport and Music are the company to contact! Their exceptional team will always go above and beyond expectations, which makes all the difference.”
Some of the company’s exponential growth can be attributed to an increase in web traffic thanks to a digital marketing strategy which has been implemented over the past 12 months, by fellow Manchester business Lightbulb Media. This strategy has increased web traffic by 2.5 times from last year, bringing with it a 5.2-fold increase in online revenue year on year.
