Hortor hires associate director to lead automation growth
Hortor, the global strategic resourcing consultancy, has announced the appointment of Mark Standen as Associate Director – Global Automation Practice, as part of its ambitious five-year plan to become a £100m turnover business.
Mark and his specialist team of recruiters will be tasked with building and delivering a best in class talent and advisor practice within the global marketplace of robotic process automation (RPA), artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning.
Previously the largest billing contract consultant at Computer People, before being promoted to director level, Mark will call upon his wealth of IT experience to grow the automation division across the Hortor Group and its six offices in Leeds, London, Malaysia, Slovakia, North America and Costa Rica.
He comments: “I was initially attracted to the role after noticing the rapid growth that the business has reported in recent years. For such a young agency, Hortor has already made a splash in the digital marketplace and this is something I wanted to be a part of.
“Although Hortor’s team of experts are spread across the globe, I can already see that the company’s culture has created a sense of intimacy across the entire group. As well as interacting with my new colleagues, I’m most excited about using my specialist industry knowledge to deliver responsive solutions that will play a major role in helping the organisation to become a £100m business.”
With UK offices in Leeds and London, Hortor aims to be a market leading recruiter in the digital, IT and tech sector, while also providing bespoke managed services to a global client base.
Completing an investment of more than £500,000 in the last 18-months, Hortor recently promoted Niall Cook to Recruitment Director and expects to appoint a further 20 recruits throughout next year alone.
Joint CEO of Hortor, Andy Roe, comments: “Since establishing Hortor in 2014, we’ve always had big ambitions for the business, but it became clear early on that this can only be achieved by finding the right people to fit with our culture.
“Not only does Mark bring with him years of industry specific experience, but he also shares our vision; to disrupt the global digital market with an alternative to traditional recruitment. We have some really exciting plans for 2020 and look forward to Mark being a part of that.”
Hortor is a specialist recruitment consultancy working with global businesses that need digital placements around the world. It also delivers managed services and an Employment Consultant Model (ECM) for those that require long and short-term, temporary and project-based resource.
