Nicholas Peters & Co are an established, experienced London firm of chartered accountants providing expert advice and support to their clients.
After obtaining an upper second class economics degree at University College London, Peter qualified as a Chartered Accountant and worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers until 1995.
After joining a retail bank to head up their business development and set up their mortgage and gold card divisions , Peter left to start up Nicholas Peters & Co in 1998.
What does your organisation do?
We’re an established, experienced firm of chartered accountants providing expert advice and support that aims to save or make our clients more money than they will ever pay us. With 20 staff, our services include tax returns, accounts preparation, audit, payroll services & business advice.
Our success over the years, and a continuing reputation for providing outstanding service, has led to exponential client growth and the need to recruit specialist teams made up of some of the best and most knowledgeable accountancy talent around.
Such has been the rate and scale of expansion that we’ve now moved to purpose-built, custom-designed West End offices close to Oxford Circus that boast state-of-the-art technology designed to help us offer the kind of agile support and advice that every contemporary, ambitious and forward-thinking business needs to succeed.
What is your area of expertise?
Accountants & Business Advisers with 30 years plus experience. We provide a diverse range of business support, advising on project viability, business planning and funding. In recent years we have assisted clients in tax planning advice for high net worth individuals.
What key challenges has your company recently faced?
Ongoing & increasing regulation causes many obstacles & costs for small businesses.
What is your biggest achievement over the past 12 months?
Moving to state of the art offices without causing a major disruption to the quality of service to our clients. This was a big move for us all and the transition went smoothly.
What is your most important focus for the coming year, and what do you hope to achieve?
Brexit will cause changes to business practices and we are ready to assist clients to minimize the potential disruptive impact.
What excites you most about your industry and business?
The election has given clarity to business. Whether you are Remainer or Brexiteer it’s going to happen. Observing the challenges clients will face will be interesting.
What do you wish you’d known when starting out?
Business has many challenges. You need to experience it to realise what really happens. Having a trusted adviser to preempt potential obstacles would have saved lots of time and money.
What will be the “next big thing“ in your industry, and how do you plan to handle it?
Brexit and it’s impact is clearly the biggest thing. We have the manpower, systems and up to date collaborations to assist in making this as painless as possible.
