A residential development site North Yorkshire has been sold on behalf of private landowners to a national housebuilder.

Property consultancy Carter Jonas has agreed the sale of the 22-acre site in Boroughbridge to national firm Taylor Wimpey.

The site, to the south of Boroughbridge, has had planning permission secured since 2019 for a residential scheme known as Aldborough Gate.

Steven Soper, senior surveyor at Carter Jonas, commented: “This development site presents an excellent opportunity to create a new housing conurbation in a well-connected and coveted village.

“It has all the characteristics to prove popular with Taylor Wimpey’s buyers seeking well-located family homes within the commuter belt of Harrogate, York and Leeds.”
