London's 'first eco market' secures raft of new retailers ahead of launch

Four new retailers are the latest businesses set to join London’s ‘first eco market’ ahead of its launch next month.

Camden Market owner LabTech has announced that sustainability focused lifestyle retailer Londonworks, male grooming brand Sweyn Forkbeard handmade babywear retailer Dress Up Baby and souvenir trader To Home From London are all set to join Buck Street Market in North London.

Londonworks, which specialises in clothing, music, home decor and gifts, will take a 900 sq ft space within the market.

Grooming specialist Sweyn Forkbeard plans to take a 74 sq ft unit at the market for its sixth London outlet.

Dress Up Baby specialises bespoke clothing, accessories and toys for babies and toddlers, and will also take a 74 sq ft space.

The businesses will join a range of retailers, food and beverage companies at the market, which will include the use of 88 recycled shipping containers to house the market, recycling points set throughout the destination, zero-plastic onsite and composting food waste from the food and beverage traders to generate energy.

Maggie Milosavljevic, LabTech’s retail commercial director, commented: “At Buck Street Market we are committed to delivering a revolutionary space that prioritises environmental education, conversation and positive change.

“Tailored towards the ‘conscious consumer’, our selection of local fashion retailers reflects our commitment towards championing sustainability, mirroring the aims held across our eco conscious food and beverage portfolio.

“We are confident our selection of retailers will embrace the ethical aims held by Buck Street Market, delivering a vibrant and sustainable lifestyle destination.”
