Smoking Gun makes a racket with England Squash appointment
National sports governing body, England Squash, has been appointed by Smoking Gun, to help grow its membership and broaden its audience reach. The agency will manage a social media and content strategy, building relationships with influencers, and supporting the overall brand across its core online channels.Following a three-way pitch process, Smoking Gun will serve up the awareness raising work in the lead up to a pivotal summer in the world of sport and athletics.
Smoking Gun, which scooped two global awards for excellence in measurement and evaluation at the AMEC Awards last year, will manage content creation and engagement to grow England Squash’s audience across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.
Speaking about the appointment, England Squash content manager, Gareth Chappell, said: “Smoking Gun has a reputation for delivering fun, engaging and creative content that gets cut through, and we know their wealth of strategic know-how will drive membership at this crucial time.
“We understand the importance of making exciting content in order to drive memberships, and Smoking Gun demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of how this can be done effectively on social media right from the beginning.”
