Diners’ club launches digital hub with new partnership

A national diners’ club that offers discounts at a range of restaurants has launched a digital hub in order to support customers during the COVID-19 outbreak.

London-based diners’ club tastecard has launched digital platform ‘Staying in with tastecard’ which will see the brand work with Rakuten TV in addition to its existing restaurant partners.

Created in response to the social distancing and self-isolation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, the platform will offer a range of discounted takeaway options as well as providing access to film and show streaming to its customers.

Matt Turner, tastecard’s CEO, commented: “Our restaurant partners are the cornerstone of our business and we will do all that we can to help them in these unprecedented times.

“We also want to ensure that our members get continued value from their membership with us, thus we have extended our in-restaurant proposition to not only focus on takeaway, but to work with some of the largest pizza delivery brands in the UK, who will offer our discounts.

“Going beyond that, our exclusive partnership with Rakuten offers discounted movie streaming for our members at a time when they are likely to need it most.”

“During this uncertain period, we want to do our best to support both our customers and partners to ensure everyone has the best opportunity to continue with their lives as normally as possible.”
