Refurbished low-carbon Leeds workspace sold in £22.15m deal

An office building in the centre of Leeds business district has been sold in a multi-million pound deal.

Real estate investment firm FORE Partnership has completed the sale of Yorkshire House & Hub to Castleforge Partners for £22.15m.

FORE Partnership, which acquired the building for £17.8m in 2014, has transformed the site into a pair of low-carbon workspaces.

Following the refurbishment, Yorkshire Hub features spaces for startups ranging from 2,500 to 4,000 sq ft, while suites at Yorkshire House offer spaces up to 18,000 sq ft for scaling businesses.

Prior to the sale, FORE recently secured leases with local firms such as Corecom Consulting, Hair Burst and Alscient.

Basil Demeroutis, managing partner at FORE Partnership, commented: “The success of Yorkshire House & Hub demonstrates that you can do well by doing right – that by focusing on low carbon strategies, social impact, placemaking and design, you can also enhance rental income and improve financial returns”.
