York environmental consultancy set to expand workforce with recruitment drive
An environmental consultancy firm based in York is growing its workforce in order to strengthen its UK operation.
Arcus Consultancy Services is planning to hire at least 15 new members of staff to work on clean energy projects including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, hydrogen and battery storage.
Set up in 2006 by director Greg Shillabeer, Arcus employs more than 80 staff and has offices in Glasgow and Cape town in addition to its York headquarters.
The firm, which provides environmental assessment, planning and engineering services, is looking to expand its workforce in order to meet a growing demand for renewable energy.
Arcus’s managing director, Greg Shillabeer, commented: “As the renewable energy sector continues to grow and develop, we are keen to ensure our clients have access to the very best technical expertise.
“These opportunities are arising in Arcus at a very exciting time, as we provide high-quality environmental assessment services on a diverse range of clean energy projects, including offshore wind, onshore wind, solar, hydrogen and battery storage.
“We have ambitious plans for the next five years in terms of turnover and growth. Appointing the right mix of talented and experienced people, whilst supporting the development of our existing team, is tremendously important to growing our business.”
