This week's Yorkshire appointments
Georgina Watson, GSC Grays
Estate agency GSC Grays has appointed land agent Georgina Watson to its Easingwold land management team.
Georgina, who comes from a farming family, has worked in East Yorkshire for several years, advising and supporting private clients, estates and charities with experience and knowledge in the rural land sector.
After graduating from Harper Adams with a degree in land management, Georgina went on to complete her RICS and CAAV professional qualifications in 2011.
Georgina’s previous roles have given her experience in strategic business planning, land management, valuations, sales and lettings, planning and development – but she has a particular interest in landlord and tenancy support.
Georgina commented: “I’m a problem solver, I like to help families and businesses understand what options or opportunities are available to them – this starts with the confidential conversation around the kitchen table - what are the clients long-term goals or aspirations and how can we best advise to achieve those.
“Strategic planning in our industry is vital now more than ever – agriculture and the environment are coming under intense pressure and sadly not all farming businesses will survive.
“My husband is a farmer, and I come from a farming family, so I understand the intense nature of the industry and how reassuring it can be having someone in your corner”.
GSC Grays’ director, Lucinda Riddell, added: “Georgina exemplifies our approach here at GSC Grays.
“She is local to the area, knows many of the region’s farmers and has a deep understanding of the many issues facing the county’s farming community. She will be working throughout Yorkshire, supporting our continuing expansion in the area”
James Milner, Knight Frank
Property consultancy Knight Frank has appointed James Milner as partner and head of department.
James joins from Cushman and Wakefield, where he was head of valuations in the north of England. He was previously with Sanderson Weatherall. Commenting on his appointment, James said: “This is a major move and a massive opportunity for me. I am delighted to have the chance to join Knight Frank and am ready to develop my career further with this internationally-renowned property consultancy.
“The valuations department is already a leading consultancy across the Yorkshire region, but my challenge is to take it to another level.
“The combined Leeds and Sheffield teams will provide an unrivalled valuations service for existing and future clients alike. I will be focusing on the full range of property valuation including development and investment appraisals.”
Imogen Lassen, Engage
Leeds-based digital agency Engage has appointed Imogen Lassen as head of delivery.
Imogen brings over seven years of account and project management experience with her. Working with the Engage team and clients, Imogen will enable the delivery of large and complex projects and the streamlining of processes.
She also works closely with the leadership team at Engage to formalise and structure how projects are run, define processes for resourcing and capacity management, devise strategies and support existing client relationships.
Commenting on her new role, Imogen said: “After seven years of working in digital agencies, I’m thrilled to secure a role at such a respected agency and contribute to the development of Engage.
“It’s been brilliant working with the leadership team as we continue to deliver outstanding results for our clients. I’ve already worked on a number of notable projects and I’m really looking forward to further honing my skills in account and project management.”
Engage co-founder, Alex Willcocks, he added: “After a successful and busy 2019, this is a dynamic time to join Engage. Although times are uncertain, we’re continuing to see investment in marketing by existing, and new clients.
“I’m looking forward to seeing Imogen integrating into our thriving team, and how her knowledge and experience strengthens our project delivery and the services we offer.”
Justin Wysocki and Simon Warhurst, Age Partnership
Equity release specialist Age Partnership has appointed Justin Wysocki as chief revenue officer (CRO) and Simon Warhurst as chief operating officer (COO).
Prior to taking up the role of CRO, Justin held the position of marketing director, whilst Simon was previously operations director.
Justin commented: “I’m delighted to be taking up the role of CRO.
“This is an exciting opportunity to own the full end to end customer journey, with a clear objective of creating great customer experiences, and most importantly finding the right solutions to help our customers.”
Simon added: “Having been at Age Partnership since its inception, I have seen the business grow from a small start-up to the UK’s largest equity release broker.
“In my new role of COO I will be focused on ensuring we deliver a world class service for our customers and I’m excited for the next chapter of Age Partnership’s growth.”
The new appointments follow last week’s announcement that Steve Auckland has joined Age Partnership as chief executive officer.
Speaking of the appointments, Steve Auckland said: “Both Justin and Simon are young but experienced operators and benefit from having held director level positions at Age Partnership for a number of years.
“They have a tangible passion, enthusiasm and talent for the business, and I have no doubt that they will make an even greater contribution in their wider roles.”
