Residential quarter of Barking development fully sold ahead of launch
A new regeneration project in East London has met a high demand for homes even during lockdown.
All 44 apartments at Bellway’s Fielders Quarter in Dagenham’s Riverside project have been snapped up ahead of the development’s launch later this month.
Located on a 443-acre site previously occupied by the Barking Power Station, Barking Riverside will deliver thousands of new homes as well as shops, restaurants, schools, leisure facilities and a new Overground station.
Bill Kenneally, regional director of Bellway London Partnerships, commented: “Barking Riverside is set to become one of the top places to live in London. Buyers in the capital have recognised this and that is why the homes at Fielders Quarter have continued to sell at such a rapid rate during the lockdown.
“Barking Riverside will include new public and green spaces, with part of the Fielders Quarter development overlooking Frogley Park, and a safe, segregated cycleway to Ilford has also been proposed.
“But Barking Riverside will be more than just a great place to live. It also represents a fantastic investment for the future.”
