100 new jobs to be created in Sunderland leisure destination launch
A raft of new jobs are set to be created at a new leisure venue in a Sunderland coastal destination.
100 new roles will be created at STACK Seaburn ahead of its planned August Bank Holiday opening.
Led by Danieli Holdings, the venue will house a range of independent street food and casual dining businesses, as well as events and socialising space.
Neill Winch, CEO of Danieli Holdings, commented: “As someone born and raised in the city, I am absolutely delighted to be bringing STACK to Sunderland, creating jobs and opportunities for local people and businesses.
“Sunderland is gathering pace in its journey of transformation, and we are pleased to be part of that process through investing in STACK Seaburn. It’s a special city and we are proud to be bringing our concept to the area.”
Cllr Graeme Miller, leader of Sunderland City Council, added: “We are absolutely focused on ensuring that every project that moves forward in Sunderland comes with added-value – community wealth building that maximises the spending power of projects like this one.
“The fact that a Sunderland business has been appointed during construction, and that Sunderland people will ultimately be employed here for years to come means STACK’s arrival in the city represents much more than the opening of a new venue – it will create opportunities for people and businesses from this city.”
