Farringdon firm lands contract for ‘distinctive’ Holborn refurbishment project

A Farringdon-based construction specialist has been appointed to deliver a ‘distinctive’ refurbishment project in central London.

RED Construction Group has been awarded a contract by Seaforth Land to work on the development at 20-23 Greville Street in Holborn.

Situated adjacent to the historic Bleeding Heart Yard, the project will involve the restoration of an existing Edwardian office building, transforming it into a new mixed-use development.

Graham Sturge, managing director of RED Construction, commented: “It has been brilliant to apply our drive and expertise to the elaborate requirements of this Greville Street project.

“We are proud to have the opportunity to deliver on the vision of Seaforth Land’s CEO, Tyler Goodwin to create an authentic historical restoration in collaboration with the esteemed architectural minds at Groupwork + Amin Taha.

“Our team is looking forward to executing this regeneration and believe the new mixed-use scheme will contribute positively to the ongoing recovery of central London.”

Marcus Hale, chief development officer at Seaforth Land, added: “We appointed RED Construction for Greville Street with the confidence they could overcome the challenges and complexities of the development, particularly with their extensive experience with modern and sustainable construction technologies such as CLT.

“This project is in direct alignment with our commercial real estate investment strategy and we look forward to seeing it come to life. The view from the new Crossrail Station at Farringdon, looking up Greville Street, will be greatly enhanced and made more inviting once we are finished with the project.”
