Welsh tile retailer opens second London location after "surge" in renovations popularity
A Welsh tile retailer has launched its second London location following a “surge” in home renovations popularity.
Mandarin Stone’s second London venue, which is joining the Sloane Stanley estate on Fulham Road in Chelsea, is a 1,233 sq ft showroom space.
The Chelsea showroom showcases tile collections from natural limestone and marble, to man-made concrete and marble effect porcelains for both interior and exterior surfaces and decor.
The showroom will be operating by appointment only due to Covid-19 restrictions and social distancing.
Hannah Grievson, property director at Sloane Stanley, commented: “Home renovations and interiors are enjoying a surge in popularity since lockdown, and so it’s apt timing for Mandarin Stone to launch its new showroom on Fulham Road.
“The store is beautifully designed and houses high quality products which add to Chelsea’s leading design offering, which include premium interior design stores such as Timothy Oulton, Designers Guild, Silvera, Little Greene, Castrads and Benjamin Moore.
“We are delighted to welcome Mandarin Stone to the estate, and believe the addition will be a great asset to our leading design line up.”
Alma Small, founder and managing director of Mandarin Stone, added: “Despite it being a difficult time for retailing, and whilst there was a delay in our opening due to Covid-19, we have remained committed to launching our new Chelsea showroom in the heart of this design-led community.
“Mandarin Stone is a family-run business and our meticulously designed collection has grown organically with us.
“More than ever before, people are evolving the way we shop, so we believe it is important to have both an online and bricks and mortar offer to ensure we flex with them.
“Revealing our newest showroom, initially by appointment only, is a great achievement as we continue to grow our brand.”
